This Privacy Policy explains how Half Ordinary Software, LLC ("Half Ordinary," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit halfordinary.com or use our apps, Dispo and Lodyn (together, the "Services"). We try to collect as little as we can, and only what an app actually needs to work.
By using the Services you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
1. This website
halfordinary.com does not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and reliability. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details, such as your name or display name, email address, and a profile photo or short profile if the app offers one.
- Content you create in an app, such as check-ins, recognition posts, waves or messages.
- Messages you send to support.
Information collected automatically
- Location. Lodyn uses your device's location, only with your permission, to determine which venue you're at so it can show who else is there. See Section 4.
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version and crash data, used to keep the apps working.
- Diagnostics. If you have opted in on your device, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us.
We do not collect health information about patients, and the apps are not designed to receive it.
3. Dispo
Dispo is distributed privately to organizations, such as hospital case management departments, through Apple Business Manager.
- What Dispo stores: user account details, weekly workload check-ins (for example Steady, Stretched or Underwater), the trend built from those check-ins, and recognition posts shared with colleagues.
- Who can see it: your own check-in history is visible to you. Leaders in your organization see aggregated trends and counts, not individual names attached to check-ins. Recognition posts are visible to the colleagues they're shared with.
- No patient information: Dispo is not a clinical system. Do not enter protected health information (PHI) or other patient information into Dispo.
- Your organization: when your employer provides Dispo, it is used under that organization's agreement with us, and the organization may have its own policies about workplace tools. Requests about organization-managed accounts may be directed to your organization.
4. Lodyn
- Location and venue presence: with your permission, Lodyn uses your location to determine when you're at a venue, so it can show you, and show you to, other Lodyn users at the same place. Presence is tied to the venue and is shown only while you are there. We do not sell location data or use it for advertising.
- Waves and sharing: you can wave at someone at the same venue. Additional profile details or chat become available only after both people wave. You choose what to share.
- Turning it off: you can stop sharing location at any time in iOS Settings or in the app. Some features will not work without it.
- Safety and moderation: we may review reports and related content to enforce our Terms and keep people safe.
5. How we use information

7. Tracking and advertising
Our apps do not contain third-party advertising and do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
8. Data retention and deletion
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You can delete your account from inside any app that offers accounts, or by emailing privacy@halfordinary.com. When an account is deleted, we delete or de-identify its personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. To make a request, email privacy@halfordinary.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to children. Lodyn is only for people 18 and older, and Dispo is for professional use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Where data is processed
